Second Term

Working Group on Cloud Security and Privacy (WGCSP)
(From 27 May 2014 to 24 April 2016)

 

Terms of Reference

 

  1. Keep surveillance on the development of cloud security and privacy standards / practices, and address any related major issues for deployment in the local industry;
  2. Develop best practices and guidelines on cloud security and privacy for the local environment;
  3. Engage the industry, academia and/or research institutions to identify the strength and weakness of local industry and market opportunities with regard to data protection and security solutions in cloud environment;
  4. Propose industry facilitation measures to promote the development of cloud security standards and solutions;
  5. Contribute to the development of cloud security and privacy standards and best practices by governmental and standardisation organisations on the Mainland;
  6. Participate in cloud standardisation efforts on cloud security and privacy initiated by international organisations and identify collaboration opportunities for the industry and Government to access, contribute to and influence such standardisation efforts;
  7. Identify and assess research and development projects related to cloud security and privacy that warrant financial support through funding schemes such as the Innovation and Technology Fund;
  8. Participate in and organise conferences, forums and discussion groups for exchanging views and experience sharing on cloud security, data and privacy protection and solutions; and
  9. Promote the local awareness on cloud security, data and privacy protection, and the best practices on cloud security and privacy for the local environment.
