Fostering Data Centre Development in Hong Kong
 
Data centres are indispensible infrastructure for any knowledge-based economy, and are critical to all economic sectors, particularly Hong Kong’s pillar industries such as financial services, trading and logistics. It is the Government’s policy to develop Hong Kong as a regional data centre hub.

Embracing New Challenges
 
I am honoured to have taken up the office as the GCIO in early January. My previous work experiences in promoting the use of IT in the community and various industries have stood me in good stead for effective delivery of my new duties. With a passion for IT and in the spirit of serving the community, I shall do my utmost and work with colleagues in my office to continue making Hong Kong a leading digital city in the world.
