Free e-commerce seminar for the wholesale and retail industry

Local enterprises from the wholesale and retail industry are welcome to join an information technology (IT) applications seminar tailor-made for them free of charge to be held on October 25, 2002.

The "IT Applications for Wholesale and Retail Industry" seminar is the latest one among the "Enhancing Enterprise's Competitiveness" Seminar Series jointly organised by the Information Technology Services Department and the Hong Kong Productivity Council.

The seminar series is aimed at exploring the IT applications and its latest development trend for six specific industry sectors comprising import and export, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, business services and finance industry, logistics as well as travelling and hotel.

Companies with experience of adopting IT will share with the seminar participants how they have overcome their challenges and the benefits of using IT in their business.

Besides, through attending the seminar, the participants will be able to learn more about the IT applications for their industry and understand how IT can help enhance their companies' competitiveness.

The seminar will be held at the Exhibition Hall, 4/F HKPC Building, 78 Tat Chee Ave, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, from 2.05 pm to 5 pm on October 25, 2002 (Friday). It will be conducted in Cantonese.
