SCIT to lead IT delegation to Beijing and Tianjin

The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr John Tsang, will depart Hong Kong on Sunday (August 29) for a three-day visit to Beijing and Tianjin.

Mr Tsang will lead a delegation of more than 200 representatives from the information technology industry and small and medium enterprises, to see the opportunities and challenges in the Mainland market.

During his stay in Beijing, Mr Tsang will meet his ministerial counterparts to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The delegation will also visit the economic development region, IT enterprises and research institutes in Tianjin.

The Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Alan Wong, will also join the delegation.

Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on Tuesday (August 31).
