Hong Kong showcases e-government achievements in Guangzhou

Hong Kong is showcasing its e-government accomplishments in the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PRD) Provincial Capital City Mayors’ Forum held in Guangzhou today (September 16) and tomorrow.
To foster exchange and cooperation on the development of e-government among cities in the Pan-PRD region, an exhibition on e-government usage and exchange exhibition is organised during the forum.
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, Immigration Department and Hongkong Post have collaborated to stage a Hong Kong Pavilion in the exhibition.
The pavilion will feature the Digital 21 Strategy and various flagship e-government programmes, including the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme, Smart ID Card, Business Entry Portal, Digital Inclusion Programme and Hongkong Post’s Collection and Delivery Management System.
Other cities in the Pan-PRD region, namely Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Nanchang, Changsha, Nanning, Haikou, Chengdu, Guiyang, Kunming and Macau, have also displayed their e-government projects in the exhibition.
