Seminar on SI Certification to be held in Shenzhen

A seminar introducing the computer information system integration qualification certification of the Mainland will be held in Shenzhen on September 23 (Thursday).

All local information technology (IT) companies are welcome to attend the seminar, which is organised by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) of the Central People's Government.

A spokesman for the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) said that under the second phase of Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA II), Hong Kong service suppliers were allowed to apply for the certification in accordance with the provisions of the relevant laws, regulations and rules of the Mainland.

"We hope that the seminar will assist the local IT industry to better understand the existing requirements for the qualification certification and the factor of consideration for accreditation, so as to further enhance their business development opportunity in the Mainland market under CEPA II," the spokesman said.

The seminar will be held in the afternoon of September 23 at Shenzhen Lushan Hotel. Officials from the MII and Mainland certification authorities will speak at the seminar and exchange views with the participants.
