Shenzhen government ICT delegation visits Hong Kong

A 23-member delegation, led by the Vice-mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government, Mr Liu Yingli, visited the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) today (February 3) to share their experience in fostering the development of information and communications technologies (ICT) and implementation issues of e-government.
The delegation, comprising representatives from nine Shenzhen government departments, is currently conducting a two-day visit to Hong Kong.
The delegation was received by Mr Alan Wong Chi-kong, the Deputy Government Chief Information Officer (Operation), Mr Stephen Mak Hung-sung, and other directorate officers of the OGCIO.
The OGCIO took this opportunity to brief its Shenzhen counterparts on the Digital 21 Strategy, the latest development of the e-government programme and other important ICT initiatives in Hong Kong.
Both parties also exchanged views and experiences on the promotion of ICT exploitation in the community and discussed ways to strengthen co-operation between the two places.
During their stay in Hong Kong, the delegation also visited the Innovation Technology Commission and the Cyberport.
