IT Career Expo 2016

To let the public better understand the IT career of Hong Kong and its prospect, we participated in the IT Career Expo 2016 which was organised by the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS) on 2 April 2016 at the Hong Kong Productivity Council Building. The Expo aimed to promote IT industry and provide information to people at different stages of their career, and encouraged young people and graduates to choose IT as their career.

The IT Career Expo was consisted of three career elements – recruitment, start-up and further study. Through exhibition and talks, the Expo provided one-stop career information to visitors. With over 30 multinational corporations / organisations / institutions participated, and 11 speakers involved in 5 sessions of sharing and talks, the Expo attracted over 1000 visitors, including students, fresh graduates and young IT professions, who are searching for insights into the IT industry and their careers.

We set up an exhibition booth in the Expo to show visitors information about the demand for IT talents, prospects of IT career in Hong Kong, Hong Kong’s winners of ICT awards, portals of iStartup, Student IT Corner and Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools, and the analyst/programmer grade within the government establishment.
