“iCity”Project and the TV episodes

In December 2012, we sponsored Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, with DotAsia Organisation as a Cooperating Partner, for an one-year “iCity” Project which targeted at students of Secondary 3 to 6 to inculcate interest in ICT by highlighting ICT as an agent of change and the decisive factor fuelling the engine of growth in a knowledge-based economy.
The programme covered a research study on the aspirations of students in relation to ICT, and a series of activities including mobile application development competition, short message/video clip competition, interschool debate on ICT-related topics and a TV programme promoting the ICT industry.
The TV programme 《今日 iCity 》was produced to facilitate the public to understand more about the IT profession and careers. It features the importance and success stories of ICT professionals in various industry sectors. The TV programme 《今日 iCity 》was broadcast on ATV Home every Sunday (20:00-20:30) from 22 September 2013 to 10 November 2013:
