The project developed a stocktaking system to automate the flag-bag collection on flag-days. The system would enhance the efficiency of the flag-bag collection process and reduce the chance of human error. It was also expected that the system would facilitate central coordination and tracking of flag-bags, help collection staffs to monitor the status of individual flag-bag as well as to understand the overall progress of flag-bag collection.
The objectives of the project are:
- To enhance the efficiency in flag-day logistics by introducing use of smartphone apps and management system on cloud;
- To reduce the human error incurred in collection of flag-bags on flag-days; and
- To reduce the barrier in adoption of smartphone app and cloud solution by small and medium non-profit organizations by the development of a shared application on flag-bag management.
