Trade

The project developed seven software modules, which support the full business processes in compliance with the Digital Trade and Transportation Network (DTTN) applications.  Upon completion, the seven software application modules and related software coding were made available to the public for business document preparation and exchange via the DTTN platform.

The objective of the project was to encourage the development and marketing of simple front-end software modules that provide basic functions for preparing and exchanging business documents over the DTTN platform with their business partners.  In addition, IT vendors were encouraged to, based on their own market knowledge, develop other add-on value-added applications / services that SMEs would use in conjunction with the DTTN.  It was expected to create additional business opportunity for the IT industry as well as to stimulate usage of e-Business in the SME community.

These seven software modules covered three function areas, namely freight management, business management and finance insurance.  The seven software modules were: 

1. DTS freight.net;
2. E-Document Toolkits;
3. eSims;
4. ISU-Lite;
5. PDS Trade;
6. X-Analyze Smart Freight Forwarding System; and
7. X-Analyze Smart general Trading System.  

Upon the project completion, the seven software modules were made available free to the public via the website of the DTTNCo (http://www.hk-dttn.com/SSP/eng/index.html).
