26th Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition

The Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Society (JSECS) is a non-profit student organisation established in 1979 that aims at arousing students’ interest in the aspects of electronics and computer. One of the main activities is the annual Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition (JSECE) which inspires students and the public to understand the importance of the application of electronics and computer in Hong Kong.
The 26th JSECE “Smart Blueprint” was held on 22 August 2015 at Cyberport. The exhibition featured on showcasing the winning entries and award presentation ceremony of the Hong Kong Outstanding IT School Award (HKOITSA) competition and Inter-schools microfilm competition. At this year’s event, the JSECS also organised the IT Running Man 2015 on the same day for Secondary 2 to Secondary 6 students to have fun before the end of summer holidays.
The OGCIO also set up a booth in the exhibition to display information on IT industry and related statistics, Analysis/Programmer Grade in government establishment, IT studying programmes in tertiary institutions, winning students in Hong Kong ICT Awards 2015, and relevant initiatives such as Student IT Corner website and Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools, so as to enable students to better understand the industry and illustrate the importance of IT industry to the overall economic development in Hong Kong, to explore various IT related study opportunities, and what the OGCIO is doing in promoting IT studies in the school community.
